This paper is merely speaking to the latest developments in the search of the MDCAs (most distant common ancestors, paternal and maternal) of all human populations.
The genetic research community really needs to drop this "Adam" and "Eve" thing, which recalls the biblical figures of the same names. As noted time and again, unlike the biblical "Adam" and "Eve", a so-called genetic "Adam" and "Eve" would not have been a couple, nor probably even lived in the same area or time. Moreover, the genetic "Adam" and "Eve" would not really have been the first ancestors themselves; they too would have descended from a long line of ancestors, including the ape-like ancestors. So, technically, there is no "Adam" and "Eve", as there is no broken chain of ancestry for humans, from the moment life appeared on Earth; whereas, the biblical narrative suggests that humans derive from spontaneous ancestors in the form of a couple.
