I think the most salient thing about "Nubians," and overlooked in ARtU's cited work, is the relationship between pre-dynastic Ta-Seti and Ta-Shemau (Upper Egypt) and the pharaonic regalia and even the basic culture that dominated all the Lower Nile even earlier. The one that supplanted the unrelated Fayum(?)/Delta cultures long before unification.
