the concept of Human race and chimerism whether it's genetics or embryology are very different. Matter of fact I don't think the two(race and chimera) can relate in any definition of either word.

And based on the parameters Race can be defined, it just falls apart when you incorporate cultural, biological and political definitions... So it's better we drop the whole concept.

Since, you seem to be very smart, please tell us how many human races there are? Exact number please, no guesses!

Also, if two people share the same identical skin and hair color, are they racially the same?

Here is a little excerpt to help those who're unable to expand their little self-centered point of view.

quote:

Race is a modern idea - it hasn't always been with us. In ancient times, language, religion, status, and class distinctions were more important than physical appearance. In America, a set of specific historical circumstances led to the world's first race-based slave system.

The concept of race did not originate with science. On the contrary, science emerged in the late 18th century and helped validate existing racial ideas and "prove" a natural hierarchy of groups. Throughout our history, the search for racial differences has been fueled by preconceived notions of inferiority and superiority. Even today, scientists are influenced by their social context.

Ideas and definitions of race have changed over time, depending on social and political climate. Historically, racial categories were not neutral or objective. Groups were differentiated so they could be excluded or disadvantaged, often in explicit ways. For example, in the early 20th century, U.S. courts had to decide who was legally white and who wasn't for the purposes of naturalized citizenship. This was done in arbitrary and sometimes contradictory ways.

Groups such as African Americans, Native Americans, Latinos and Asian Americans have played a significant role in shaping American society. Many of the freedoms we take for granted were fought for and won by those who were originally excluded by discriminatory laws and practices. In struggling for their own inclusion, nonwhites have guaranteed fair treatment and equal rights for everyone.

Economics is essentially the main reason, why some groups wanted Racial Divisions.

"Groups were differentiated so they could be excluded or disadvantaged, often in explicit ways. For example, in the early 20th century, U.S. courts had to decide who was legally white and who wasn't for the purposes of naturalized citizenship. This was done in arbitrary and sometimes contradictory ways."

^ all of this is fine, but what does Race have to do with chimerism?

Also, If I were to say that race is only defined by peak genetic distances between populations of said geographic regions and only that, what would make that statement false?

What if I said each race is defined by a rubric of biometric patterns and physical traits. what in the realm of physical anthropology would prove that wrong?

What If I said that each race is defined solely by the average combination of physical traits & regional ancestry...How would you prove that wrong

with out incorporating any of the other two as a model for race, are anyone of these models incapable of sorting the human population into different taxa?

Each of those can be a model of strict racial classification on their own, but it falls apart when elements of the previous three are combined in someway, so yes race can be defined, just as a breed of dogs can... the problem is how it is defined.

Why are you busting Africa's chops over race? Africans did not invent race and are not hypocritical enough to say that this person would not be considered black based on the definitions that were created.

Well, few Luo consider Barack Obama black.
Bob Marley was taunted "whitey". A girl he
was sweet on, her family said We don't
want the white man in our blood.
