that looks possible In the larger version in the OP we see that the colors on their heads match the skirts so it could be clothes on their heads. Also the lines look to be too few to be strands, they look more like wrinkles in cloth

That 2009 thread has a broken link for the topic picture in the OP I am assuming the same figures as with this OP picture but I notice Ebony Allen says "The men's skin is white" and is apparently referring to these same figures seemingly wearing yellow and red khats (or 'klaft') head cloth. Can we say with confidence that this are girls not boys? Update: I just noticed there is a long nipple peaking out and slight breast on the last of these girls below the cup like objects they are holding, that seems to verify they are female
