Sorry but I am not religious and any kind of 'Satan talk' just freaks me out.

We've very recently inquired about international adoption with an agency back in the States and within the first three minutes she started talking about Satan, that he made problems for the orphanage and their children (claims of sexual child abuse are currently being investigated).

My husband quickly finished up the conversation with this very friendly and spiritual woman on the phone and we looked at each other kind of surprised and horrified. We obviously were the wrong clients for her. [Eek!]

When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say, "Jesus, allah, or god
> could You please get that for me

tigerlily read again what it says . i am not talking about Satan at all . i am talking about the wonders or miracles that can happen in someones life. with this man helping a needy person and helping her his car started and was able to get home. i thought it was a good email . that miracles do happen and there are good people out there. that was my message to all

You know how can it be a miracle if Christian adoption agencies are discriminating you as a 'non-believer' as you are not fulfilling their religious requirements and they won't sign an adoption contract with you?

How wrong can we be when all we wanna do is give a less fortunate child a home? Starving to death is a better option but at least they are safe with god?

Many of these god-fearing people are so full of their talk that all what's missing are two wings for them to fly off with..... [Roll Eyes]

well tigerlily .Christian agencies discriminating you as a 'non-believer'
what kind of Christian agency is it? they don't sound very Christian to me if they discriminate against you. maybe the best thing to do is find another agency
i do wish you the best of luck with trying to find a child [Smile] have you ever thought about other countries to adopt

Oh, Micky, look them all up!

We stopped back in June our adoption plans because the girl we had on 'soft hold' was placed with another family in the meantime.... [Frown] I wrote about her on here before.

But we are on full speed now since one month. Last week we got fingerprints taken and tomorrow we'll have medical check-ups and also get lab work done. After the homestudy is completeted we'll file the US immigration form, our dossier gets translated and then the search for our child will finally begin.

We found a great highly recommended and experienced agency after all and we are 110% into adopting from Haiti. [Smile]

International adoption will not become easier -unfortunately rather the opposite.

If everything goes smoothly from now on the expected date of arrival will be sometime in spring of 2009 and we - incl. our children - are very much excited. Thank you very much for your wishes! [Smile]

God bless you Tigerlily

What is very sad is why there are so many children in Egyptian orphanages.

Is it a religious thing?
