bake your sweet potatoes until done then add butter brown sugar and a pinch of cinnamon put back in the oven till the butter has melted. another favorite of my family is sweet potato casserole INGREDIENTS:
* 3 cups mashed sweet potatoes * 1 cup brown sugar * 2 eggs, lightly beaten * 1 teaspoon vanilla * 1/2 cup milk * 1/2 cup melted butter * . * Topping: * 1/2 cup brown sugar * 1/3 cup flour * 1/3 cup melted butter * 1 cup chopped pecans
PREPARATION: Combine first 6 ingredients. Pour into a buttered 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole dish. Mix remaining ingredients together and sprinkle over top. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes, until hot and browned. Posts: 9443 | From: USA...... | Registered: Jun 2006

These are one of my absolute favorite foods!! Love them with lots of brown sugar and butter...but NO marshmellows, please!

Bake them . . then put butter and cheese (whichever kind you like), salt, pepper, etc.
I like them better this way than all tarted up as a "sweet", lol!!
First time I had them (because i wouldnt eat the sweet kind) and really liked them was in a restaurant in New Orleans. They were just baked with butter, yummmm!! Of course, now that I've decided I like them I will even try to "candied" ones, hehe!

This is exactly how I make mine!! Learned from my southern grandma
How about sweet potato pie micky, you ever make that??
