One reason for the existence of this forum is to counter the arguments made by many in the European world that the Ancient Egyptians could not be bona fide Africans/blacks because the technological inventions and political stability--despite being a monarchical system--of that ancient nation for thousands of years is something rarely found in contemporary Africa.

Of course, one can say the same about Iran(Ancient Persia) and Iraq(Ancient Sumer/Mesopotamia): nations wracked by ignorant dictators who abuse and murder at will--under the banner of a[the last of the Abrahamic cults] plagiarised cult named Islam tailored to meet the needs of illiterate and simple-minded desert trekkers.

In the case of Africa this should be no excuse though. Thus this is the basis for pointing out the irresponsible criminality and rank lack of psychological immaturity of recently declared winners of 2 of Africa's most recent elections.

In Guinea the so-called "professor" Alpha Conde is the grinning beneficiary of day-light robbery election polls. It's as if they are not psychologically mature enough enough to accept the results of a political poll. The hyena grins as it surveys its stolen booty.

In Ivory Coast we have Laurent Gbagbo and his cohorts, after maneuvering over the years to garner support on the basis of some nonsensically concocted "Ivoirite", now have stolen the elections in broad daylight. Matters are more transparent than in Guinea because there were a host of observers from the outside who were invited to witness the vote. This was so because there was a civil conflict some years ago and the UN has a large blue-helmet presence there.

The votes were counted under much super vision and Gbagbo lost. Now this very childish and psychologically immature man gets his appointed cronies in Constitutional Council to cancel the results and declare Gbabgo winner.

In all of this is the foolish gullibilty of the "petit peuple" who are goaded into voting along ethnic lines. They don't seem to know that when "their man" gets into power nothing from him comes their way. They remain mired in poverty and ignorance until the hyena in power is forced to hold new elections.

And Egypt and its latest elections? Well, the very dull almost retarded man--Mubarak-- who has held power for decades just stole another one--by ensuring that all opposition be jailed or sidelined.

Its the antics of these men and their close supporters that continue to bring disrepute to a whole continent?

But what all this points out though is that holding elections to appoint a winner take all president may just not be appropriate at all. There must be some other ways to establish governments for the modern era.

Ancient Egypt was not always politically stable. There had been on and off periods of civil unrest and political disunity.

Lamin - Good points and observations, but wrong conclusion. Democracy has been sold as a cure-all, but it is not. Even in developed countries, the ignorant majority of the populace cannot be trusted to make judgments in their own self interest. I need go no further than the recent "Tea-party" success in the U.S. There you had the White ignorant voting against their savior, simply because he did not look like them.

You think Africans are Dumb?
How about poor Whites, who clamor to support people who openly tell them that they are working for the rich - that's dumb!

Point being, is that for developing countries, Democracy is proved inefficient, what instead? Beats me.

Mike,
I imagine that the T-Party people voted Republican in recent U.S. elections which is exactly how most[majority] whites have been doing since the laws of desegregation were established.

As far as they were concerned the "golden age" of America came to a halt when new Civil Rights were enacted, that offered a modicum of formal rights to blacks and other so-called minorities.

The T-P people see the resources of the U.S. in zero-sum game terms: economic and political gains for blacks mean economic and political losses for whites-- because when blacks enjoyed less rights whites enjoyed more rights--economic, legal[whites could murder blacks and get away with it; they still do of course], culural, etc.

The T-P people just don't see how Obama could ever do anything that could benefit blacks while benefiting them.

In any case though they make up a small voting bloc in the U.S. and could not field someone who could be their bona fide man/woman in the WH.

On the hand, the jackass who lost the vote count in the Ivory Coast elections just clownishly and stupidly had himself declared president.

I mean the man is a clown and a stupid one too: if you suspect you cannot win the elections then stall it for as long as possible; but once you agree to hold them and then invite the U.N. to come and supervise, then if you lose then just show some dignity and psychological maturity and just step down. Simple!

I am reposting this from another thread

1 African and nations dominated by African descended folks governments first and foremost has to keep their people in mind first, treating them better looking after their well-beingif you treat your people with respect others will your do so at home or abroad, have the same type of agreement your trading partners have with you in regards to emigration and laws they have with you for their own citizens visiting your lands..when such agreements are violated lodge a formal complaint with the offices of offending nations,If nothing is done stop all projects with offending nations even if you have to take a financial hit..deport it's Representative or leading figures residing your country. seek-out or threaten to seek-out it's primary competitor.

2 Stop acting like your trading partner is there to do you a favor(we use to be good at this)they are there for your stuff!! and you want payment for the stuff that you sold them or strategic space that you lease them. realize that they could give two sH!!t about what you do with the money after you got paid.

3 Stop treating your nation like it's your family owned business. realize that being El-Presidente for life is not necessarily a good thing trust others can do the job.

4 Demand excellence from your nation's youths, set the tone by having trains buses all government offices run on time and closed on time be anal that way, private businesses will follow and the people will follow after-all you set the tone.

5 No one respects a pushover prepare for a strong defense but respect your neighbor's boarders.

6 Learn all you can from both friends and foes and use what's use-full or less harmful remember most Africans went from the stone age directly into the iron age..modern equivalent invest in clean renewable sources of energy forget oil,gas and nuclear whenever possible.

The above ain't no great political insight just common sense
