Mena: Historians are always complaining that politicians doesnt learn from the mistake of the past. But it is worst politicians doesnt learn from present mistake. The 93 years old Zimbabwean pres Robert Mugabe who was in power for 30 years was just forced to resigned last years by the Zimbabwean army because his corrupt government was in power for to long and he was trying to passed the power to his 40 years old younger wife.

I thought the 73 years old president of Uganda Yoweri Museveni who has been in power for 30 years would have learned from Mugabe mistake and start looking for a person in his party to succeed him. No Museveni and his MPs decided to lifted term limits in order for him to be president for life. This mean the Ugandan army will have to force him to resign like Mugabe.

Uganda MPs vote to scrap presidential age limit

 -

Uganda's parliament has approved a constitutional change that will allow the current president to run for an unprecedented sixth term in office.

After three days of debate, MPs voted overwhelmingly to remove the age limit of 75 for presidential candidates.

It means 73-year-old President Yoweri Museveni, who has ruled for more than 30 years, can seek re-election in 2021.

A two-term limit was scrapped in 2005 to allow Mr Museveni to stand for a third term.

But that limit has been reinstated following criticism that Mr Museveni could now become president for life.

His supporters argue that Ugandans can always vote him out of power.

Opposition MPs walked out of the debate on more than one occasion, and six were suspended for protesting against the bill.

The constitutional amendment, which was spearheaded by Mr Museveni's governing National Resistance Movement (NRM), was presented to MPs in September and led to chaotic scenes in parliament.

Media captionChairs were thrown during the debate in parliament in September
Tempers flared and lawmakers were filmed brawling after it was alleged an MP had brought a gun into the chamber.

Local media reported that it took 20 minutes for the commotion to calm down.

A leading opposition figure was also reportedly arrested trying to mobilise protesters, a police spokesperson said.

President Museveni has led Uganda since 1986, having seized power at the head of a rebel army.

He won fresh terms in office in presidential elections in February 2011 and 2016, but the opposition, along with Commonwealth, US and European Union observers, complained about the fairness and transparency of the votes.

He tells Africans frankly': Uganda's president says he 'loves' Trump and thinks he should be praised for not mincing his words after his 's***hole countries' remark
Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni said he loves President Trump for not mincing words when it came to calling African nations 's***hole countries'
Museveni said he does not know if Trump was misquoted but that it doesn't matter because he speaks frankly and you can't survive if you are weak
Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo and Namibia President Hage Geingob previously denounced the president's language
Trump's remarks were widely renounced in the US and around the world

Mena: Ugandan president Yoweri Musevini is a very irrational man. African chief of states and the preident of Haiti protested against USA pres Donald Trump insulting comments on immigrants coming from African countries, Haiti and Salvador. Ugandan pres Museveni in the contrary is congratulating and praising Trump for his insulting and racist comment.

Here are the details. Some Haitians and Salvadoreans were granted temporary visas after earthquakes hit their countries some years ago. The visas had expired but they didn't want to return home.

In euphemistic terms, Trump said they should leave and return to their countries.

The SH descriptive allegedly used by Trump had to do with the Diversity Visa lottery. Anybody from anywhere could apply and the criteria for selection were not merit-based. Third world countries were favored. Trump claimed that migrants should be merit based and should be coming from countries like Norway and Asian countries instead of SH countries like those in Africa.

SH countries in Africa. Africans in Africa agree with Trump. The countries in Africa are led by wicked, greedy, and very corrupt politicians who steal and rob their countries blind. As a result their countries are the worst in the world in terms of health care, education, and infrastructure in terms of electricity, roads, water supply, etc.

Trump just spoke the truth. Sometimes, the unvarnished truth hurts.

The AU officials pretended to be offended by Trump's remarks--but the fools said nothing when Libya was being destroyed by NATO, specifically France, US and Britain. The AU also
said and did little when Africans fleeing their SH countries only to drown in the Mediterranean,
The AU also did little when Africans were being sold as slaves in Libya in their flight from their SH countries.

A huge disgrace for a continent that produced the world's first technical civilizations.

African countries, SH countries? What better proof than the the fact that when African politicians get ill, they run abroad to Europe or America for treatment rather than see to it that there are adequate health facilities in their own countries. Recent case in point, President Buhari of Nigeria: 4 months in Britain for treatment.

SH countries in Africa? Another proof. Africans with money send their children abroad for education rather than educate them at home.
