I am relocating with my job to Cairo in less than 3 weeks and am thinking it will be too much of a hassle to relocate my chattels (based on some of the stories I have read). Plus it seems that most apartments come fully furnished anyway.
I was just wondering...for those of you who have relocated to Egypt, what do you strongly recommend bringing, wish you had brought along with you or have with you that you are glad you took.
Thanks for any feedback!!!

we brought with us everything from A to Z in a container all the way from Brazil.. and we were surprised... nothing was lost.. nothing was broken... everything went smooth and perfect.. we brought with us the sweetner and coffee... your special medicines...( cheaper in Egypt if available ) our paintings and books and carpets...furniture... even our glass dining table was here safe... it was tough of bring everything to the 12th floor...we had to hire a special crane... but we did it and it was over... coffee...and coffee filters if you are a coffee adict...is what you need...very bad and expensive coffee...and very very expensive and not always available coffee filters.. ahhh shoes here are stupid...for both men and women... and your music instruments if you use it welcome to Egypt..
