What is the proper etiquette when an Egyptian muslim dies? Do you send flowers to the home? Are there funeral parlors there to send them to?

From what I remember sending a telegram was the most appropriate way of paying your respects. I remember a few people being offended if they hadn't received this or at least a phone call.
I never knew anyone to send flowers.
Muslims are buried as soon as possible after death .. at least within 24 hours and the most important part of this is the Janazah (Funeral prayers) where you are expected to join in with a prayer for the deceased.
