I had no idea where to post this guys so bare with me.
I have heard several times about people being afraid of posting thier pics on the internet. While I understand the general logic behind this, I have never heard a REAL story. So I'm curious.
Anyone want to share either their story, or one they've heard about?
Also any advice on removing a pic that has been posted would be helpful too.

whats happend ive not seen any thing been said bad of ur picture ,,...if u cant delte it now u must ask of sammy to dlete it but most of the time ur foto wud have bben cpyied no end of times by now when replying so it means most of the time to dlete a whole thread ,,dont worry we will stick up for you here ok ....and if you took my comment rong DONT i was complying you actually u said u was sunburnt i said was it hot and i said lovely picture but lavely meaning that sorry if me offended you ,,,ok chimps
i made the mistake on showing a piture of my daighter and i got bad pms asking if they cud put her in a porn movie they are not here them people any more been dleted or they wer not actually active accounts some people in here got 3or four accounts so they can be **** heads to you then the real username u wudnt know who it wasin the end wud be saying sorry cus of that person but all the time its them clever nah dont think so ..,stupid isint it

I used to post my picture at other forums but then someone actually recognized me and *BAM* there went my annonymity. I guess I'm just scared that would happen again. The reason I love the internet forums so much is that I can ask things that I normally would be too afraid to ask because no one knows me for real.

I was active in a forum years ago in high school, it was a Terry Goodkind forum (a fantasy autthor I was an avid reader of) a rp forum. We all became really close and had never really discussed personals, but one day one of the gals suggested we start a whos who thread and post pics... wellllllllllll.... long story short no body ever said anything in forum, and the person never made mention in forum, or posted a pic so to this day i dont know who it was, but I started getting letters in my locker with reference to the forum. Was waaaaaaaay creepy. Then considering the average reader of goodkind novels wouldnt be known for social skils, I'm sure he was just way way too shy to say anything or let me know who it was, it became a running long joke... i would get letters in my locker, and I would leave one taped to the locker. Neither of us said anything about it on forum, lol... oh well, its one of the mysteries of the universe. It wasnt a *bad* thing, just kinda creepy. Then it is kinda my motto not to do anything that anonymity would affect. IE if someone, anyone, husband, mother, child, woulod fi9nd out and cause embarassment or issue.... dont do it lol. Only reason that it would be an issue I would think is if you are doing something, or posting somewhere you shouldnt be. I know its nice to ask the questions you dont have the courage to face to face, and thats entirely different. that is definately valid.
