Indigenous Arabs are descendants of the earliest split from ancient Eurasian populations
Juan L Rodriguez-Flores cs 2016 http://www.genome.org/cgi/doi/10.1101/gr.191478.115 ... Arabia was the initial site of the Out-of-Africa migrations between 125 & 60 ka: were the first Eurasian populations established in Arabia? are contemporary indigenous Arabs direct descendants of these ancient peoples?
... we sequenced the entire genomes of 104 unrelated natives of the Arabian Peninsula at high coverage, incl.56 of indigenous Arab ancestry. The indigenous Arab genomes defined a cluster, distinct from other ancestral groups, and these genomes showed clear hallmarks of an ancient Out-of-Africa bottleneck. Similar to other Middle Eastern populations, the indigenous Arabs had higher levels of Neanderthal admixture, compared to Africans, but had lower levels than Europeans & Asians. These levels of Hn admixture are consistent with an early divergence of Arab ancestors, after the Out-of-Africa bottleneck, but before the major Hn admixture events in Europe & other regions of Eurasia. When compared to worldwide populations sampled (1000-Genomes Project), although the indigenous Arabs had a signal of admixture with Europeans, they clustered in a basal, outgroup position to all 1000-Genomes non-Africans, when considering pairwise similarity across the entire genome. These results place indigenous Arabs as the most distant relatives of all other contemporary non-Africans, and identify these people as direct descendants of the first Eurasian populations established by the Out-of-Africa migrations.

Tephra geo-chemistry & 40/39Ar geo-chronology are reported for the Waki-Mille area in the NW-part of the Woranso-Mille paleo-anthropological project area in the west central Afar region. Previous studies documented - dento-gnathic fossils that are morphologically intermediate between Au.anamensis & afarensis & - some that are attributed to afarensis, - ddditional dento-gnathic remains from the study area were assigned to the newly identified species Au.deyiremeda.
These fossil hominin taxa were recovered from volcanic & sedimentary strata, containing tuffs ranging from >3.77 to <3.469 Ma.

"Indigenous Arabs are descendants of the earliest split from ancient Eurasian populations."
It should have been. Split from ancient African population into Eurasia. They are now trying to seperate/ segregate early Arab population from outgoing Africans.

I thought Austronesians were the oldest split???
By their own account today's Arabs are "mixed" and "grafted", the " pure' being long gone or al-'Arab ul-'Aribah maybe some of the marginalised folk whose Arabic I'm not sure of.
Can you repost those articles on Ar Pen archaeology dated near the earliest successful OoA events.

Not when you include the Nubian Complex. In order to get to Autralia, you'll need to enter Arabia first, on foot that is.
