ABSTRACT: In this essay we attempt to make a connection between the Bantu-Kongo concept of sīmbi, with that of the ancient Egyptian nTr (god) Imn. By doing a cross cultural and linguistic analysis between Central Africa and the lower Nile-Valley, we come to discover striking parallels which would suggest a common ancestral heritage. The works of the late Dr. Kimbwandende kia Bunseki Fu-Kiau provides us with the necessary cultural keys that help us to unlock many of the philosophical mysteries of ancient Egypt fossilized in the hieroglyphic writing script. We seek to demonstrate the vitality of utilizing the Bantu languages as tools for interpreting many of the obscure concepts of ancient Egypt. The works of Fu-Kiau grounds us authentically in the African world-view and the Bantu-Kongo becomes a launching pad to speculate more systematically ideas expressed in ancient Egypt. As a result of our Kongo engagement, we come to discover that Imn is still worshiped in central Africa under the name Nzambi

You must respect a scholar like Asar Imhotep who does a comparative study with AEians using Bunseki Fu Kiau's works. That's great. I always compare for myself modern African culture and Ancient Egyptians ones when reading text.
I want to use this occasion to salute ancestor Bunseki Fu Kiau. A great teacher with an intimate knowledge of African spirituality.

Mwoyo (Greetings). I appreciate your commentary. Fu-Kiau was a rare gem and he has done more for me, as it regards direction for scholarship, then any other sage I have encountered. People will not realize the impact he has had and what he has left us in print for years to come. I just hope that my work honors him in the best way possible.
