-Thinis/Abydos -Nekhen/Hieronkopolis -Naqada
The Naqada culture I can find a fair deal of data on although I'm still not sure what evidence suggests it expanded into Gerzeh instead of just relocated. Were there concurrent Naqada remains at both sites? There is also some information that could suggest that Nekhen and Ta Seti “nubians” were continuation of A-group (correct me on that if needed). But what about Thinis/Abydos? Is there any more info connecting these two?? Most importantly, the Thinis/Abydos culture is generally credited with being the one to conquer the entire area to create dynastic Egypt, but I haven’t heard anything about the origins. Who were the people who were part of the Thinis/Abydos state that would conquer Naqada and Nekhen to unify Egypt?
