So long search engine. Fare thee well.

This is just nonsense why Does something as important as searching for threads, always gets removed. The search function needs to come back, we need it for factual info that has been discussed before. This is not right.

If bird wants a nest she must build it herself.

The owners of this couldn't care less about the
info we're getting across or its accessibilty to
the internet community. It's theirs and they can
and will do whatever in damned hell pleases them.
Hits and ads, ads and hits, that's all that counts.

Anybody serious could've begun posting on TNV
or Myra's forum or Charlie's YahooGroup or ...
you yung uns got Horus' FaceBook thang.

So why frown? Are we scared to walk our baby nuts
around the block? Is this site our one and only
true love? Do you need a house ta fall on yez?
I mean there's here and there's there, visit all.

This is no complaint on my part. Just dropping some wisdom and knowledge for the more naive and ignorant.

I knew that it would happen. I knew when they divided the forum into two pieces that the search engine would be next. The site owner is trying to usher certain demographics away that makes this site uncomfortable for certain demographics.

As a matter of fact that is what he was attempting to do when he eliminated the search engine and post editing features in '06 and '07.

Because in actuality the site's owner wants certain demographics here and wants other demographics gone in order to make the site more palatable for the more desired demographic.

I'm almost wondering if:

1. The posts about the desecration of Egyptian statues by Europeans and white Americans.

2. The beatdown and thrashing of "egyguy" from posters including myself. (He may even be this site's owner and decided to take revenge)

were somehow the final straws that pushed the site owner over the edge once again and prompted him to eliminate the search engine again.

LOL! : ) I bet it was. : )

Watch, the editing feature will be next and it will be gone soon. : )

Hey siteowner just be a man and tell the people that you don't want (ie. the indigenous Africans and diaspora) to leave? LOL!

Seriously I think that the people in the "Living in Egypt" part of these forums are the ones who complain about our forum. I would always remember them coming to this forum, and complain in threads that all we ever talk about is the race of Egyptians. They would seem very angry about it to. They would come into threads make foolish remarks, and then when questioned on it would quickly say how the race of Egyptians does not matter. If it did not matter, why complain about it. I am fairly certain most people who post on this Forum hardly goes and reads there threads in the other forums, yet they would always read our forum, and always complain. The veteran posters know what I am talking about. It's as if admitting that Ancient Egyptians were Black Africans, were a personal insult to them.

As for the owner wanting Africans to leave these forums. I really don't take that seriously. The owner has rarely intervened in this Forum, All I can say is maybe the other forum members have a role to play in why the search function is down. Enough people complaining *can* have an affect. All you can do is continue to fight on, and hope the owner realizes how important the search function is.

Is the search engine NOT working in the other forum/boards or aonly the AE&E? [Wink] Paranoia?

But I agree we should start transferreing all this good stuff to another location controlled by Africana(per AltK). And at least slowly start using TNV.

I could care less about this forum, the only reason why I frequented this place is because it kept coming up in search results whenever I surf something for Africa.

I'm just dropping some opinion on TNV as to why many people don't go there.

They don't go there because they don't like the pseudo intra-african apartheid, segration, junk science that the forum is divided into. It's no different from all of the other race loon forums out there.

They declare that West, Central, and Southern Africans are "Inner Africans". Why are they "Inner Africans" and no one else? What the hell is an "Inner African" to begin with? That type of sick **** sounds like something from the Howell or Coon school of pseudoscience.

West, Central, and Southern Africa are also grouped together as if they are all the same. Again think Coon or Howell.

East Africa is defined as the East Coast of Africa. I guess because of the so called Arab contact is why the East Coast of Africa is what East Africa should represent. Again think Coon and Howell.

I seem to remember there was a clown who use to post here named Ausar who use to engage in the same bullshit African hierarchy with his posts. There were certain posters who use to smack his racialist garbage back in his face and were actually banned for it. I believe it was said by some posters that he has something to do with the creation of that site. And if so, I see why it is designed in the race loon fashion that it is.

Also, one of the moderators is a frequent poster on certain race loon sites that I won't name in order to keep from advertising those sites. So again it is a very suspect forum.

Regardless of whoever created the site, that person has some serious ethnic bias going on in that deranged brain of theirs. And I believe that is a serious turnoff to many people.

If they wanted to waste their lives on that mess they would go to d---a or that d_s loon's site.

TNV you heard the man! Your response? Take it as a customer focus improvement survey.

I too there is work to be done on the layout to make all "races" feel welcome.

And the word "Egypt" needs to be included in title.

TNV was created by Ausar, the same guy who once
proudly presented EgyptSearch Ancient Egypt &
Egyptology. It's free, runs on phpBB, and is
paid for by the ads phpBB places there. Its
format is etched in stone and its categories
were made by Ausar. To change its index or
titles will make its GOOGLE archive disappear
and thus make it invisible to net surfers who
don't already know about it.

I strongly suggest that each one visit TNV for
themselves -- rather than rely on anyone elses
opinion about it (including my own) -- while
there go beyond the index and actually examine
what's written in the posts. The bulk of the
posts were written by regular members of this
very same EgyptSearch forum back in 2005 & 2006.
So the content really doesn't vary from what's
found right here (back in the days befroe this
forum got reduced to a common chat board).

Anyway the place to critique comment and suggest
TNV is at TNV where the people who run it can
read what you have to say about it.

And there's still Myra's, Horus', and Rigaud's
forums/groups if TNV just ain't your cup o' tea.

What's up with TNV. JOINED THS MORNING. ES is really for chit chat. The La Reine Soleil thread FU was the last straw. Was hoping to go to TNV to get intellectual stuff. But aparently it is not working. I have to come to both sites.

Why is the posting “locked”?

Few suggestions

1.Returning to the main page is difficult to navigate
2.Finding the posting link is also difficult. ES has it own
3.Ancient Egypt should be on display on top of the web page someplace.
4.There should a “general discussion” header about AE since most newbies will not know what these header are.
5.Web address is hard to remember.
6.There should be a pyramid on the main web page. Newbies to know what the site is about.

I agree with your other suggestions but this one

quote:
5.Web address is hard to remember.
really that applies to the whole forum.

Really, it's not that hard.

For the other forum it's forum 8, you can bookmark it, and this one's 15.

http://www.egyptsearch.com/forums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=15;t=000203

if you can't bookmark it, there's another option.

just remember, after youve typed in egyptsearch dot com slash forum, the saying:

"ultimate times, no

bbs please, means

.can I get in them jeans?,

u b

forum 15."

^I tried.

if you can't do either of those you're screwed though
