EGYPT: The Oberoi Zahra, Luxury Nile Cruiser, has been designated the best five star cruiser on the Nile and The Oberoi, Sahl Hasheesh, the best resort on the Red Sea by the ministry of tourism, Egypt, in the 2009 tourism awards. These awards are presented in recognition of a remarkable effort in promoting tourism to Egypt and an unremitting commitment to excellence.
Instituted by the ministry of tourism, these are the most coveted awards of the travel and tourism industry in the country. Conferred annually in various categories, the awards recognise exceptional performance and contribution to promoting Egypt as a tourist destination.
