Depends where you will be staying, there is a big difference between Red sea and say North coast in both these months

Red Sea. I came several years ago in early November to Sharm and the pool water was too cold to enjoy. People were complaining and just relaxing on their chairs. The ocean water was okay in the afternoon. Luckily we had a heated children pool at the hotel which was more in the back and only a couple of tourists noticed it. TL for Red sea:-
October: sea is still very warm but days are getting shorter. Early in October will be nice weather but starting to get cooler in Evening.
March: sea is colder as has cooled down over winter but days are longer and March tends to be the first month things start to get warm. It went from cold to hot overnight this year in March. Evenings are warmer than late October.
