"Belas shopping centre" is a huge mall that will open at the beginning of next year (2007). Brazilian architects designed it and an Angola-Brazilian firm already started with the construction.
This is how it should finally look like. It is very nice, to my mind.
more malls are already planned but as always for Angola getting final images is very difficult.
Thanks for the pics. I wouldn't mind living in Africa. I probably would go to Uganda, Congo, Burkina, or Niger. I don't like large cities so I probably build a home far from the city in an isolated secluded area where the grass is still green and nature is unspoiled and there's harldy any people.

I'm beginning to wonder how many of those buildings are even occupied and by whom? I hope it's not another Dubai. Fancy, new buildings and not a soul inside.

I hope it's not just poppyshow, I really hope the average African has access to these buildings.
As for where I want to be in Africa is Ethiopia, Gabon, Nigeria.
Peace

Thank you so much King, don't know how I overlooked this thread. Urban Africa really has a beautiful landscape, esp S. Africa!
