I know a little about the Merina kingdom and that the island was settled by both bantu(swahili) and austronesian peoples, but not much more than that. It's definitely on the top ten countries in africa to visit for me though, incredible geography and fauna found nowhere else. Any good books or websites? How well did the Bantu and Austronesian peoples get along?
