If there were still dark-skinned people of recent African descent (aka the so-called "Basal Eurasians") hanging around the Arabian region ~10,000 years ago...is that why they cast Will Smith as the genie in the recent Aladdin reboot?

 -

If you remember the original animated movie from the 1990s, the genie had been encased within that lamp for approximately 10,000 years when Aladdin discovers him ("Ten thousand years will give you such a crick in the neck!"). If this carries over into the canon of the new film, it would make sense for the genie to look African rather than medieval Arabian like Aladdin and his people.

Does this mean that Disney casting agents have been lurking around ES and other amateur anthro communities all this time? [Eek!]

You might be on to something because I've recently seen Al ajeerza videos about the strife afflicting folks in Yemen and the thumbnail is generally a dark skin Yemeni or one that looks stereotypically African.

This “basal eurasian” you keep babbling about is a based on a hypothesis (wishful thinking) to shift the narrative, because it actuality is African in origin.

So by that token Will Smith is a very good example.

which suggested that the African ancestry in West Eurasians is at least as closely related to East Africans (e.g. Hapmap3 Luhya (LWK)) as to West Africans (e.g. Nigerian Yoruba (YRI)) (the same analyses show that there is no evidence of relatedness to Chadic populations like Bulala) (Text S5 and Figure S12).

There are african americans and blacks africans that have a skin tone like will smith and do not have other race admixture,so your views here are incorrect.
