20 prawns (shrimp), medium size 4-5 cups chicken broth/soup stock 2 stalks fresh lemongrass, lightly pounded, cut into 1 inch long segments 4 table spoons fish sauce 1/3 cup sliced fresh galangal 1/2 cup straw mushroom, halved or whole 6-8 kaffir lime leaves, shredded 4 tablespoons lime juice 6 crushed fresh Thai chile peppers (or more to suit your taste) 2 tablespoons "prik pao" roasted chile in oil Fresh cilantro for garnish
Method
Wash the prawns and shell them without removing the tails. Bring chicken broth to a boil. Add lemongrass, galangal and lime leaves. Bring back to a boil then add mushrooms, fish sauce, prik pao and lime juice. Add prawns and fresh chile peppers. As soon as prawns turn pink (cooked through) serve garnished with cilantro.

i cooked this before - some thai chic's recipe - this is street food, i will follow this recipe but i will also do it my way too. you know i have so much confidence cooking now - i just feel like i could accomplish whatever i want. What i will do today is cook this for a few bowls of soup and so i will use 1/2 kg of shrimp and maybe 1/2 kg of mixed seafood. i know the recipe does not call for mixed seafood but maybe just maybe i might do it my way. You like get busy up in here - this is my summer time - i could do whatever i want - i could cook and eat and drink whatever i want - wake up and sleep whenever i want. And if i want some mixed seafood up in this recipe then i'll do it
I am definitely in chill-mode! Beautiful day

Be happy i'm not making dessert
and no dinners??? that's a little too harsh if you ask me. Eat baked vegetables the ones with 0 calories or something
*contemplating on whether to cook this recipe with 1/2 kg shrimp & 1/2 kg mixed seafood or 1 kg shrimp* choices - choices
I love Thai food - you see what i'll do with the rest is pack them serving wise in plastic bags and so when there is a craving for some tom yum then i'll just take one out, heat it and waaa laaaa tom yum

I try to eat only fruits and some salads as a dinner. And also duna fish is my favorite diet food But 1/2 kg shrimp means 450 calories
Anyway, it looks very delicious

450 calories for 1/2kg of shrimp?! that's nothing - thai food is generally very healthy, no oil, no butter, no fat, no nada here
but fruits and salads for dinner sound good too
what kind of fruits you guys have up there in season in Turkey. I know Jordan has many Turkish products, effes beer (nasty), turkish labneh (delcious), MY products, turkish cola, turkish nuts, turkish sausages and pasterma , oh and turkish 100% apple and orange juice (yummy and very good prices) - Yes I Support Turkish Products
anywayz i have to go get a few ingredients before i get busy here - ciao

Well we have lots of them right now, cherry, apricot (as sweet as baklawa:D ), plum, strawberry, loquat.... When you get in a supermarket, the greengrocer section is colorful like rainbow and very cheap
You mean Cola Turka? yes it s nice..... But Efes is the most popular one here
And thanks for supporting our products

Okay, i am about to get busy ladies and gentleman and insha allah i will cook an authentic thai dish, one that tastes the same as it does in thailand. I just came back from the seafood market and i purchased lovely shrimp(prawns). I also have some mussels which i will add. I will simply take my time, i love going real slow with things that i love and this is one of them. I am very passionate about cooking Thai food. I bought me some more kool-aid - i am going to take my time. At the end of it all a great dish will materialize tonight.

Heyyy… sabah al khair, beautiful yes I eat them, sometimes I cry eating them but I eat them. What I usually do is I deseed the regular (bigger) chillis because my wife likes it spicy but not insanely spicy like I do, I however cook the small thai chillis whole (w/seeds). This way suits both of us because when I serve for myself I include the small thai chillis, actually I sometimes also add additional ones to the dish(s).
I go out of my way to procure authentic thai chillis (very hot). Love spicy food.
P.S I had some for breakfast today, what i did was poach eggs in a separate pot and then i added the poached eggs to the Tom Yum Goong. Delcious, i could have added cooked white rice to the soup but it is very rich and hearty as is.
