Well... They finally got him and for the past several years he's been in a large wealthy compound in Pakistan only a thousand feet away from its prestigious military school.

What do you think about the role of the gov. of Pakistan in all of this?? Do you think they knew about his hideout?

^ They had to! I mean the guy was living in what is essentially a mansion near their most illustrious military school. It's funny how after the strike against him, the Pakistani government seemed pissed off that they weren't informed of this strike. They shouldn't be pissed at anything the U.S. government does considering how we gave them $3,000,000,000 in aid in the past couple of years. [Embarrassed]

^^ LOL

Well apparently the latest news is that the Pakistani government had their suspisions since 2 years ago but were not sure so they alerted the U.S.

^ According to the article many citizens knew including small kids, yet that the Pakistani government didn't is still very odd.

^Yep, very odd

I think the US made the right decision about everything so far, with the exception that they should've taken images of his corpse for public consumption, if the ones they had taken initially were too graphic.

On the other hand, there is no doubt in my mind that allegations would have continued if the US had released those images, no different than the unrelenting controversy surrounding his birth cerificate, even after documents in Hawaii confirm his account.

I agree. You're going to have naysayers and doubters regardless of whatever evidence presented, especially when it comes to the politically bias. If the whole 'birther' thing wasn't silly enough there is now a 'deather' movement brewing over Bin Laden's alleged death.

As far as the administration not releasing the photos of his body for fear of inciting or instigation, that is just plain STUPID. I mean first of all, if they killed the guy, wouldn't that be inciting the radicals as it is despite the fact that they were already incited to attack the West to begin with. Plus, they already released graphic photos of others killed in the compound. Why the hell would they not do the same for Bin Laden?! Oh and the Islamic funeral rites for the guy on the navy ship was a little overboard (no pun intended) for a guy that many including the administration was claiming that "he wasn't really Muslim". [Embarrassed]

Obama did the right thing by giving the go, however, some credit should be given to Bush whose administration was a proponent of interrogation techniques whom Obama and his people were against from the start. Oh and let's not forget that if Bill Clinton gave the command to kill this guy back when he was in office we wouldn't have this problem.

You are absolutely right. You make a very valid point here. They took two bodies. No one mentioned what happened with the body of his son.

On this day of all days! Hundreds of militant Muslims stage mock funeral for Bin Laden outside U.S. embassy in London...
as relatives of 7/7 terror attack victims weep at inquest just three miles away

Protesters argue with police officers as they attempt to regain control of the situation in central London

These were the astonishing scenes in central London today as radical Muslims clashed with police and EDL members outside the U.S. embassy just hours after the inquest verdict into 7/7 was announced. The protest, organised by hate preacher Anjem Choudary, saw extremists carrying placards branding US leaders 'murderers', warned vengeance attacks were 'guaranteed' and said the 'West is the enemy'.

Radicals warn 'it is only a matter of time' before another atrocity

A protest by hundreds of Osama Bin Laden supporters sparked fury outside the US Embassy in London today as they staged a mock 'funeral service' for the terror leader.

Police stepped in to separate the protesters and members of the English Defence League amid threats of violence from both sides.

Radicals carrying placards proclaiming 'Islam will dominate the world' branded US leaders 'murderers' and warned vengeance attacks were 'guaranteed'.

 -

The protest came shortly after the verdict into the 7/7 inquest was released by Lady Justice Heather Hallett.

She recorded that the 52 victims had been 'unlawfully' killed when four terrorists attacked three London Underground trains and a bus in 2005.

Lady Justice Hallett made a string of recommendations to both MI5 to prevent further atrocities and to 999 workers to react more effectively to major events.

Relatives of the victims wept openly as the judge announced her verdict and she paid tribute to their 'quiet dignity' before reading the name of each person who died.

However just three miles from the Royal Court of Justice, Muslim protester Abu Muaz, 28, from east London claimed 'it is only a matter of time' before another attack and that the 'West is the enemy'.

The capital has seen heightened security in recent days over fears of a revenge attacks by Al-Qaeda members.

The protest against Bin Laden's death was organised by controversial preacher Anjem Choudary - who praised both 7/7 and the September 11 attacks.

The former UK leader of the outlawed al-Muhajiroun and member of the 'poppy-burning' Muslims Against Crusades extremist group called on the U.S. to return bin Laden's body to relatives.

He has already warned of another 7/7-style terror attack in the wake of Bin Laden's death.

Britain has followed the US in placing its embassies, diplomatic missions and military bases around the world on heightened alert in recent days.

An EDL member did manage to slip through police lines to unveil an effigy of Bin Laden in the middle of the 300-strong group of extremist Muslims.

It prompted screams of 'USA, burn in hell' and 'Obama, burn in hell' from angry protesters.

The protests from both sides left onlookers in Grosvenor Square unimpressed.

Members of the English Defence League met at the U.S. embassy to confront the Muslims during the protests

Mary Smythe, 38, from Croydon, south London, said: 'I think both sides are pathetic, quite frankly.

'It's disappointing and horrible to listen to the threats. They are all an embarrassment to this country.'

Bin Laden, who masterminded the attack in 2001 on the Twin Towers in New York, was killed on Monday by U.S. forces in Pakistan.

The CIA spied on Osama Bin Laden for months from its own top-secret safehouse in Abbottabad, it has since been revealed.

In one of the most intricate intelligence operations in CIA history, spies moved in to a property next door to Bin Laden's fortified compound to establish his 'pattern of life'.

President Barack Obama yesterday visited New York to place a wreath at Ground Zero.

^ LOL And that is a perfect example of why Britain has fallen. Only a left-wing nutcase state like the U.K. would allow blatant and open radicals pray and honor a terrorist in public while protesting against the very Western world they live in.

Here in the U.S. we have radicals too but at least they don't go marching up and down the streets. [Embarrassed]

The pictures really speak for themselves. This spectacle was organized by Anjem Chaudary, and it's worth repeating that he lives on £25,000 in benefits.

Why does Britain have an Islamist problem while America doesn't?

^ I told you it's because our government is not as totally run by left-wing nuts as Britain and many other nations in Europe.

Yes we have more than our fair share of leftists in our government but nowhere as near as Europe.

You are absolutely right. And it's the same in Germany; thanks god our government has a much better control over its Muslim population.
