Without delving into the minutia of things, suffice to say, I conducted a simple research study, which used a survey questionnaire as the instrument of measure. The survey is divided into three scales. I am running into problems with one of the scales. The scale in question has a cronbach's (α = .632). YES! I am aware the standard cutoff is (α = .7) but, my question is, can I still defend the use of the scale with (α =.632) and, if so, how? Please, I need strong statistical arguments, funding is at stake here.

Thanks
