One of the leader's of the revolution was named Muhammed Naguib. He had partial/full Sudanese ancestry. I don't know if you can consider Saad Zaghloul black or white. I would say he was neither.
Sadat distanced himself from blackness but often his partial Sudanese ancestry would be used against him by some of the political commentators like Muhammed Heikal.
