It means that even if they are black people they are not involved with an African community on an everyday basis enough to see skin-bleaching and signs of it in the women. Skin bleaching is so common among Africans and Afro-Caribbeans that it is virtually impossible not to notice women who practice it.

Looks bleached IMO, West Africans/Central Africans and Sahelians....even the lighter skinned Africans usually do not have that pink undertone. ITs more copper/bronzed if anything.
The pink undertone you see is very similar to when a black person Burns their skin.
Actually i shouldn't say its similar. Its pretty much the same thing because the chemicals you put on your skin pretty much do that....burn it. We come in all colors but USUALLY lighters skinned Africans have somewhat of a Bronzed or Honey tone.....not really a pink one. Unless they have more recent admixture. Even the horn of Africans I have seen that were pretty lightskinned carried are more cream colored undertone....never pink.

That number for Nigeria is way off. Skin bleaching is an urban big-town phenomenon. Plus in Northern Nigeria among the Hausa and Fulani they are not into bleaching. Maybe 15%-20% is more accurate.

Again you cannot rely on a given camera photo's accuracy. The above shows her hands and the decorative pigment on her finger tips. Otherwise the lighting in the photo is not great and you cannot ascertian what is makeup and what is not
You see how you can't rely on photos? If you look at her finger tips in the first photo, top of thread, it is not sharp enough to see the artifically colored finger tips, so then not knowing about that, assumptions are made.

Her hand is well wrapped round her parasol or whatever, but you can see that her knuckles are not that dark compared with the rest of her fingers.
Check this lady's knuckles too. The color of her knuckles are well in line with the rest of the fingers, because it is her natural complexion. It doesn't mean that women with naturally light complexions don't use skin bleaching as well. Some of them do to enhance the lightness or even undo tanning, but when there is a great disparity it is often down to bleaching or working with unprotected hands in harsh environments.

Lioness wants to prove that African women on the whole are lighter skinned than African men. I don't know where she got the idea.
I think it comes from the statues and paintings from Ancient Egypt where the queens are portrayed in lighter skin than the kings. Do you think that if African women were naturally lighter complexioned than the men they would need to bleach their skins?
African men or perhaps men in general find light skin visually and sexually appealing, perhaps similar the manner white men prefer blondes. Probably the Moors went marauding in Europe because there were more than enough light-complexioned women to fulfill their wildest wet dreams.
This only confirms that Lioness is a socially awkward and isolated white Jewishfemale who seeks an alternative identity in being a black woman through identifying with and supporting black issues, just like Rachel Dolezal.
