'Ebola Is Not Over When It’s Over'

Like AIDS/HIV, the Ebola virus is a genetically engineered bio-weapon aimed at Blacks.

Apparently, the virus stays alove in the testes and sperm long after treatment/cure and can infect a sex partner.

The goal of the developers of the virus is to reduce Black population by killing people with the virus, and also he secondary effect of.making people apprehensive about sexual activity......just like HIV.

....it will decrease interpesrsonal trust levels between male and female as well. A destabilizing agent.

The racist twat is still at it. Can you provide any evidence of Ebola having been found in any animals from the region to support the theory that source of the Ebola infection in the region was from meat obtained from hunting or trapping?

Since humans are the most infected fauna in the region you forget that there is more chance of animals catching Ebola from human beings than vice versa.

You never give up a chance to open your racist gob do you?

The African tropical rainforest is being opened up, only Pygmies lived there before and they always avoided caves where highly social/infectious bats congregate.

Ebola's Deadly Jump From Animal to Animal
JUL 30, 2014 07:00 AM ET

Ebola may be present in more animals than previously thought, according to researchers studying the deadly virus, which has already been detected in chimpanzees, gorillas, fruit bats, monkeys, antelopes, porcupines, rodents, dogs, pigs and humans.

Watch "Ebola: Are We Next?" on Thursday, Sep. 18, starting at 9/8c on both Discovery Channel and Discovery Fit & Health.

Humans and other primates appear to be particularly susceptible to at least certain strains of the virus. During the present outbreak ravaging Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia, Ebola has killed 670 people so far and infected more than 1,000.

"The close evolutionary relationship between humans, chimpanzees and gorillas makes their immune systems very similar," Peter Walsh, a primate expert at the University of Cambridge, told Discovery News.

According to the World Health Organization, humans can get Ebola through close contact with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected animals (including other humans), so people who consume or otherwise handle certain bush meat are at particular risk. Eating infected non-human primates doesn't tell the whole story, however.

There is growing consensus that fruit bats are ground zero for the illness that kills up to 90 percent of humans who become infected. Most of the infected bats appear to come from the following three species: Hypsignathus monstrosus, Epomops franqueti and Myonycteris torquata.

"In general, Ebola researchers think that the natural host of Ebola virus are fruit bats, and that the virus is transmitted to non-human primates and then to humans through the bush meat trade," Purdue University's David Sanders, one of the world's leading experts on zoonotic diseases, told Discovery News.

He added, "It is possible that there is direct transmission from fruit bats to humans."

Certain cultures in Africa do consume bat meat, such that Guinea earlier this year ordered a ban on consumption of these flying mammals in an effort to halt the epidemic's spread.

As for how non-human primates might become infected, they often feast on fruits that the bats eat. They can also kill and eat bats, or scavenge meat from infected carcasses.

Then the question remains: How did bats get the virus?

What Is Ebola?
Sanders and his team found that the way Ebola infects human cells is nearly identical -- both structurally and biochemically -- to the way that similar viruses enter bird cells. This suggests that the proteins of the virus had a comparatively recent ancestor.

"It is therefore possible that Ebola was at one time associated with a bird host and may even be so today," Sanders said, adding that the bird must hail from Central Africa. That is where the virus was first detected in 1976 and where outbreaks usually occur.

Even plants and insects could have played some role in the evolution of the virus, as Thomas Monath of the Harvard School of Public Health has proposed. Monath postulated that a nonpathogenic virus in insects and/or plants might have mutated, giving rise to Ebola in bats.

That's interesting

Infertility Belt
 -

It used to be the case (considerably less so today) that a significant fraction of women in central Africa, up to tens of percent in some areas, were infertile or subfertile, due to various STDs. This seems to have been true for quite a while, up until the 1990s and back some indefinite amount of time, probably at least one or two centuries. It might be older than that, but at this point nobody knows. There was enough infertility that colonial administrators worried about keeping up the population, in the days before readily available antibiotics: for example, the population of Gabon seems to have decreased between 1930 and 1950.

Most of this infertility was caused through tubal scarring caused by gonorrhea and chlamydal infections.

If this pattern was around long enough, there could have been significant selection for resistance to the relevant pathogens, possibly generating high frequencies of alleles with odd or unpleasant side effects, as with malaria and sickle-cell/thalassemia etc. This would depend on the age of the behavior patterns that made this possible, on the antiquity of the pathogens causing those STDs, etc.

The Amazon rainforest has areas which are as pristine as any in Africa. Why haven't diseases similar to Ebola been found there.

Stop repeating irrelevant facts. Speculation and theories about so described bushmeat are not science. Last time I checked not a single Ebola infected animal had been found in the area to suggest that animals were the original source of the infection.

The Ebola strain in the Ebola infected area is the Zaire strain and it seemed to have travelled thousands of miles leaving all the in between countries infected till it arrived in Guinea or Sierra Leone.

The logical conclusion is that patient 0 caught the disease from a human being. Ebola is found is mainly in the labs of Western countries. If the source of the Ebola outbreak was animals, some of those animals should have been found by now.

Why don't you re-read the crap you just posted and see if it says anything about the source of the infection of the current outbreak in West Africa?

The truth is the scientists don't know the origin of the current outbreak, and nothing has been discovered there to support the animal, bat, bushmeat theory. The simple fact is they don't know how it started and where the virus originated from. They haven't found the Ebola strain in any of the animals there and yet they keep theorizing that some animal is the source.

Why can't you read between the damn lines?

Theories are supposed to be based on facts and so far the facts don't help the theory.

Also, Africa is the perfect testing ground for man-made viruses like AIDS and Ebola. The people aren't united and have no Nuclear weapon or means of advance warfare. If they know the truth, what can they do? They can't fight back.
