No the first missiles were actually made by Indians like Tipu Sultan, Turks and Arabs. The Chinese accidentally discovered gunpowder but did not really invent gun weapons as we know them today. It was actually Indians and Arabs who created the first guns, the Indians used gun like weapons, against Alexander the Great, and the Saracens/Arabs adopted this gun technology from India and Persia and brought it to Europe with their conquests; they also supplied the British empire with the largest reserves of saltpetre, gunpowder in asia. First hand pistol and pistol like weapons were used by the Mamluks against the Mongols in Ayn jalut, so it was the Turks, Arabs, Moors, who brought the concept of guns/cannons/grenades to Europe WITH THEIR CONQUESTS! The Moors also successfully used gun powder against the Vikings which was coined "greek fire" at the time. Europeans DID NOT ADOPT IT FROM THE CHINESE BUT IT WAS BROUGHT TO THEM FORCEFULLY BY COMBINATION OF SARACENS/ARABS/MOORS/TURKS! [/qb]
The "Jet arrow" and 1st gunpowder launched missile were invented by Korea, I believe during the reign of king SeJong (1397-1450) and the slave inventor who also invented the world's first water clock, Jang Youngsil. The 1st was a large box containing 500 arrows each propelled by an explosive charge. All 500 arrows could be launched at once and they generally had dozens of launchers firing at once. This was a huge invention which helped the Koreans to resist China. The next version was not an arrow but a very large gunpowder and shrapnel filled tube that when launched exploded when it hit the ground and shot out shrapnel like a modern grenade. It was large and effective enough to kill hundreds of soldiers. I never mentioned handguns or muskets. We were specifically speaking of missiles, although around the same time Youngsil also invented a handheld gunpowder launched single arrow launcher. Europe didn't invent their 1st version until about 500 years later. [/qb]
Those aren't real missiles as we understand them today, the first real missiles were actually INDEPENDENTLY invented and used by Indians and people like Tipu Sultan, who's innovations provided the concept of the future howitzer missile. The first real metallic iron incased missile, with a pointed top and a metallic iron cylinder shape exterior, as we see in modern armies today was invented and come up with in India. These same weapons were used by the British in the American revolutionary war and in the Napoleanic wars. They got this technology from South Asia and it's well documented. And no he did not invent the first hand gun, a hand held launched arrow launcher is not a real pistol or hand arm weapon as we understand them. The first official hand gun as in modern terms, and modern grenades were invented and come up jointly by the Turks/Indians/Arabs/Persians, these were first used by the Egyptian mamluk against the Mongols in the battle of Ayn jalut. Likewise there is documentation indicating that Alexander the great encountered gun projectile and gun like weapons when he first tried to invade India, so gun like weapons don't actually originate from East Asia but it's been seen and used in Southern Asia and the Middle East since Ancient times. Europeans didn't invent guns, it was brought TO THEM by the Arabs, Turks, Moors, Saracens etc etc, when they tried to conquer and take over European territory, which they succeeded in doing BECAUSE OF THOSE WEAPONS! Likewise Asian do not invent things, this is not a racist statement but something you learn by learning THEIR REAL ACTUAL HISTORY and SPEND TIME LIVING AROUND THEM! Most of the so called Asian inventions and innovations were entirely accidental and coincidental, not based on pure raw creativity. That's why the most innovative and impressive of the Chinese dynasties was the black Shang and Xia dynasties IMO. Asians are masters at replicating and copying things and imitating things, not actually inventing or creating things. [/QB]
