how do we know if the mummies discovered in Egypt are actually ancient Egyptian

all of the tombs were broken in and ravaged

it was a long tradition for Europeans and Arabs to eat mummies
how do we know that the latter people did not eat them all? [Confused]

Right. So how do we know that "the Lioness" is the Lioness?

by doing research

mummification is a natural process that occurs when dead bodies are exposed to dry climates

thus a ancient Greek, roman, Persian, and an Arab who died in Egypt could be classified as an Egyptian mummy since they died in Egypt

also during the renaissance and early modern period there were many fake mummies being created to sell to people who consume them

please explain all these points to prove the authenticity of these so called "ancient Egyptian mummies"

The best way to know what the Ancient Egyptians looked like is to observe their and their sculptures. Plus note how they were described by visitors to Egypt--as in the case of Herodotus. Aristotle also had his eye witness descriptions of the Ancient Egyptians.

Omission above: "...to observe their murals and their sculptures.

Mummies can be fakes--not so the murals and sculptures. The murals also have the "authenticity advantage" of depicting the Egyptians in groups. This gives a better average depiction of the generic Ancient Egyptian.

Lamin,

You are trying to post from the local C: drive? That is not possible, unless you are the owner of the server.

And you have to close the brackets, with the picture / image embedded.
