Ritual sees Wodaabe and Tuareg people gather to mark end of the rainy season in the Western African nation
During the festival, the tribe's young men perform a ritual designed to attract a group of eligible women

Mena: The Wodaabe ethnic group of the Sahel region of West Africa have Northeast and East African people phenotype and morphology. They have long face, long nose and slim long body. they looks like the Tutsi, Amhara and Masai ethnic group of East Africa.

In the Wodaabe ethnic group I notice that man behave like woman. Men applied makeup on their faces and participated in beauty pageant were they are trying to seduced Wodaabe women. The Woodabi ethnic group was probably a matriarchal society because Wodaabi women today can have more then one husband.

They are becoming darker. They are going back to black.

If you go back 30 years ago and earlier, many of them, both men and women were the red ochre color the men paint their faces with, which probably accounts for why that complexion is their beauty ideal.

I have a feeling the gene for the ebony complexion is dominant one over the red/ruddy complexion, which is why the black South Sudanese, Northern Kenyans and Ugandans don't display the ruddy complexion preferred in ancient Egyptian paintings.
