if you're studying arabic at the Arabic Language Institute of the American University in Cairo why don't you try staying in the dorms? it's in zamalek and a very nice place to live in

i would not advise you to live in residence. Its more expensive than renting an appartment and you have to share a room, cannot cook, share bathrooms with the whole floor.... Take a look at my website for links to renting appartments in egypt: www.easytravelpage.com/annie
