Hi guys

We are hoping to do the Nasser cruise - we will travel to Aswan by train to meet up with the boat.
Does any one have any suggestions how we return from Abu Simbel to Luxor?
Is there a train service? if so is it a straight forward trip? perhaps like the Cairo/Luxor over nighter?
Perhaps by plane - but not too keen on that option!
Is there a hotel there?
Look forward to any help
Thanks

Surely the cruise brings you back to Aswan, that is what happened with some guests of mine that did it. they then just a got on the trian back. there is no tourist public transport from Abu simbel

Thanks for the reply -
We are not doing the 7 day cruise which of course would bring us back to Aswan.
We are doing the 4 day cruise which is one way.

Hmm... if you are doing half of cruise with the aim of saving (but fast, effective, cheap is my favourite way of doing things, too) you'd better check beforehand what this saving will cost for you in the end.

On the other hand, it is maybe not so difficult to agree with a car/tour owner in Aswan to come pick you up from Abu Simbel for less than the price of one night on boat, or something? You can pay something beforehand to make sure they understand you are serious (because tourists break promises more often than egyptians, i think). Or take camels from Abu Simbel? You'll help diffuse prosperity from the big tour&transport companies straight into hands of simple Egyptian families!
And it is a land where only women use the word "la", after all, right??
