Hope someone out there can help me out. Is there any website (preferably Egyptian based) where I can book domestic flights in Egypt? I know the usual travel sites like expedia, travelocity, opodo, etc but they tend to be very expensive (sometimes even more expensive than booking with Egyptair directly). I usually travel to Egypt 7 or 8 times a year and always take domestic flights but since I book them pretty late the airfares are quite high.

Any help would be appreciated.

p.s. I've tried various travel agencies in Cairo and they all offer very similar fares to what Egyptair's offices offer.

p.s.s I know Egyptair is the only airline to offer regular scheduled flights within Egypt.

Quite sure that there isn't a website where you can book domestic flights in Egypt. I used to book through Thomas Cook (check out www.flyfromcairo.com) & then pick up the ticket at any of the Thomas Cook offices in Cairo. If you are already in Cairo you can call Egyptair's call centre on 090070000 to make a reservation & then pick up the ticket from any Egyptair office. Last time I did this I got a really good rate, far better than the rates at Thomas Cook or when booking through Expedia.

Thanks Ann, well like I said I fly within Egypt frequently but prices tend to be on the high side. I usually book with Egyptair directly but I was hoping (like in Europe) that if I could book through an independant online travel site I might get more competitve airfares.
