Hi bird!

I guess the answer would depend a little on the location you are talking about...there is quite a big difference between the north and south!

Hi Newcomer,

I will be staying Gharbia Zifta. ( not sure if I have the spelling correct.

Gharbia is in the middle, in Tanta. Between Alex and Cairo. I never went there in may but I guess it will be around 30 degrees? Anyone?
In summer it amounts the temperature of Cairo, but less smog, since it is more rural.

No money this year, but I would love to go there. If you can stand the lack of hygiene and western comfort it can be really nice, such pastoral old biblical scenery, small villages alongside the main road. Huge area's of green lands around. Clear skies on top of the roof, pigeonhome's, pittoresk skylines!:-) Gallabeya's all around.

Definitely mosquitos, since they grow rice there.
