I love the word Ktkoota!!
Hehe, i use it when i'm taking the mickey.
"Ahlan ya kuku, izzayik ya ktkoota! Ya basboosa, ya konefa, ya bint/walad asal!"
Not that your Egyptian pal is taking the mickey.... i just find the name cute too

Hi katkoota,
Hahahahah, it is a very nice word, something like saying hey kitten, but kitten from the cat, and katkoota from the chicken.lol
Nefertity, yes, when Egyptians like someone they give him such nice names like asal: honey Basboosa, the Egyptian sweets..etc.
Katkoota..enjoy life with your katkoot.

Hey Kaytkoota
Also: 'Ya amar' is nice too, an Egyptian way to say : very beautiful, and you can say it regardless of gender...it means 'moon' which is beautiful...
Best wishes always! Monica
