al-Kahina Member # 12077	posted I had read somewhere there were 200,000 westerners in Egypt. About 1/10 of those are American, half are british and ruski/eastern block. In the Gulf Arab States and KSA there are alot more Americans working in mulitnational corporations.

That kind of blows your 'Exploding Gigolo' theories out of the water,(excuse the term) when you consider that Egypt has a population of approx 80 million . Let's take a closer look at your figures: To be generous, let's make the 200,000 westerners adults and deduct half as male. That leaves 100,000 western and russian women - Assume a measley 50% are married women. This leaves a shockingly low 50,000 potential western/russian women to be divided amongst the 25 million men in the 15 to 64 category. (source:http://www.answers.com/topic/demographics-of-egypt) OK, we better get rid of half the men, as over 30 is pushing the boundaries, as far as a toy boy is concerned,this leaves approx 13 million (unlucky for some) men and a paltry, insigificant, potential 50,000 western/russian women. Bear in mind that there is a shortage of women to men of some 600,000, in the 15 to 64 age group and you will see that the 50,000 western/russian women are doing Egypt a great service (Josette, in particular, should be given an award. ) You can sleep easy tonight, Sono. Egyptian 'sociatal mores' have been saved by a few numbers.
