I read somewhere that the old Minister of Luxor Samir Farrag has been arrested along with Mandour Phillipe the owner of the Sonesta Hotel for land deals.
The old public swimming pool was mentioned. Can anybody point me in the direction of an news websites where i can find out more? I was told that Mandour had involvement in the new private school in Luxor and there website has been down since the arrest. Is this just coincidence?

I don't know that he's under arrest but the news is he and Mamdouh Philip are being investigating in the land/pool deal and are prohibited from leaving the country. Since then there has been other accusation against Farag regarding the demolition of ancient Mosques.

أمرت النيابة العامة بالأقصر بحبس صبري فرح وأنس المهندس الاستشاري بالإدارة الهندسية لمحافظة الأقصر، والمهندس أسامة خليل، مدير إدارة المشروعات بالمحافظة، 15 يوما على ذمة التحقيقات، في قضية بيع حمام السباحة الأوليمبي بالأقصر لرجل الأعمال الهارب ممدوح فيليب مجلع.
وقد تجمهر أهالي حوض الرمال بالبر الغربي للأقصر أمام المحافظة، اليوم الاثنين، متهمين رجل الأعمال الهارب ممدوح فيليب بالاستيلاء على أراضيهم المطلة على النيل، بعد أن تمكن من ربطها باسم أحد أعوانه، مطالبين بالتحقيق في الواقعة.
وكان المستشار عاصم الجوهري، مساعد وزير العدل ورئيس جهاز الكسب غير المشروع، قد أصدر قرارا بحبس ممدوح فيليب على خلفية التحقيقات الموسعة التي تجرى حاليا بشأن قضية حمام السباحة الأوليمبي التي أهدر فيها مبلغ 60 مليون جنيه.
