here is some Law Tips
If you over seas and want to divorce. you need egyptian lawyer to speak on your behalf in the egyptian court and to file divorce.

2- The Egyptian Embassy will stamp and send the Paper to us, Once we receive it, we will Start processing a divorce case in the Egyptian court.
3- once we get Court order we will have the divorce paper we will Translate it into English and stamp it from the ministry of foreign affairs and from your embassy in Egypt, and courier you both the Arabic and the English divorce paper.
4- and also you can charge your egyptian husband to get all your rights after the divorce such as (SADAK), or if you had real estate or money together or Kids issues and his duties to send them money. etc.

A professional company would never represent you or do any work for you without a retainer. The exception to that would be if you deal often enough with them to have an open account.

Thanks for that info - this has made him a happy man and his wife pleased too. I take it this would mean that the wife is considered divorced - legally - in both countries?

Divorce through the embassy in The country where the wife is. the husband must be there or he must Sign paper for someone to divorce in his behalf.
and even if the husband in Egypt and he want to divorce even if the wife still in her country. Yes he can divorce in less than 10 days.
but if the husband in egypt and don't want to cooperate for Divorce then she have to go with lawyer to File divorce from the Egyptian Court. and this part what we were talking about in the topic.
