Hi there, can anyone tell me if it is a legal obligation to put the name of your spouse in your egyptian passport if you are married?
There is a section for this, but I dont know if its personal choice or whether he / she has to appear there?

Thanks penny, his ID card has been destroyed. So if we go to get a replacement any wofe would be mentioned on it? also as an english wife would i have to be on it?

No, my wife doesn't use my name, she uses her father's name, only our babies do.

Bollock.. you answered a totally different question. She is asking if it is required to put her husbands name on her passport as her "spouse".
It has nothing to do with which name you use for yourself.
