A friend of mine wants to immigrate to Quebec with his family (wife and son). He only has an Egyptian passport. He's very busy so I offered to help him do some research on this.

I've read through the following sites:
www.cic.gc.ca
www.international.gc.ca
www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca

BUT I feel like the information on these sites is confusing with no concrete steps, just information here and there, but nothing that I can actually summarize for him.

Does anyone here have any experience with immigrating to Quebec(or know someone who has)?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks!

I love Egypt and was there in December 2008!
I live in Quebec. One thing you need to keep in mind, Quebec is a province of Canada, so Canadian laws would apply. You need to look for Government of Canada and also Quebec. Another thing to keep in mind Quebec first language is french so if your friends speaks french , they have one thing that would help when they apply..
Quebec and Canada are big and beautiful. Forest, lakes, large and small cities. We have four seasons, warm summers BUT also cold winters in Quebec.
I don't know your friends, but in Canada women and men are equals. They would live in a society where women have the same rights and protections as men. Women works outside the house, buy houses , owns cars, etc. I may be wrong it may not always be the case in Egypt...

What does your friend do for a living??
If he is a business man, you or him can start filling a form on the web. This is for a small group of countries , including Egypt.

The Preliminary Evaluation for Immigration enables you to obtain directly online a free summary evaluation of your chances of being selected by Québec.

I hope this help

I would be happy to do an assessment and walk them through the application and do the paper work. The fee is $1000 USD. I have imported a few Egyptians. Lol. You can pm me for more info.
