[/qb][/QUOTE]I agree with this, and moreover, it's both and error of fact, and a tactical error to try to refer to all Black people around the world as "African". It's and error of fact because Black is a direct reference to pigmentation, not geography, facial structure, hair texture or anything else, even granted that you may be able to infer skin color in ancient populations via the above. It's and error of tactics because it plays into the notion of delimiting Blacks by geography, which is a fundamental Eurocentric ruse. Unfortunately Eurocentristis and [self proclaimed] Afrocentrists tend to invert the same misnomers. The Eurocentrists says: if it's not found in Africa then it can't be Black. The Afrocentrist retorts: if it's Black, then it must therefore be African. And retort is the right term because Eurocentrists invented this race-essentialist discourse to service white supremacy, so called Afrocentrists only copy-cat and reverse it...like well intended fools, but fools nontheless in my opinion.
