I think the answer is sometimes Also if you look at real women in Egyptian art, real people with names, they are often beige sometimes watered down yellowish mixed in. It look slike a real skin tone That's different from the goddesses who are portrayed in a bright pure yellow like a lemon too yellow to be real. That is symbolic of gold because whil they used gold the metal they didn't have gold paint, the goddesses believed to have gold skin .
