[QUOTE]Originally posted by akshar: [QB] This was my experience of getting a visitors visa http://www.egyptsearch.com/forums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=001527 and Penny is right it is the probability of the return that is the biggy. The majority spoil it for genuine people like Cat, there are so many trying to get into the UK and not just from Egypt I actually got to speak to the officer that processed his application when the embassy were doing a roadshow in Luxor and her remarks were interesting. Apparently with all that there was still doubt in her mind but she decided to give a chance. The thing that swung it for her was that my daughter was enrolled in a school in Luxor. Isn't that weird how such a little thing can make the difference and not something you would imagine. Cat the one thing the British embassy do is give you a reason for the rejection, other Embassay's like the French don't so that might help you with a subsequent application. And my hubby was turned down the first time he applied back in 2003 when I was living in the UK. I wanted him to see where I was coming from so he would understand me better, You would have thought that was a good reason. :( It was only after I moved here that we bothered to apply again.
