Egypt to construct power stations in South Sudan

March 27, 2007 (CAIRO) — Egyptian delegation from the Ministry of Electricity left Cairo to South Sudan last week to undertake feasibility studies to implement power stations in the region.
A team of Egyptian experts in electricity domain left Cairo last Saturday March 24 for Sudan to carry out studies on the establishment of power station in the Southern Sudanese city of Wau.
Minister of Electricity Hassan Yunis said that the station will cost 37 million Egyptian pounds given as a part of a 154-million Egyptian pound grant from Egypt.
Egypt will construct two power stations in southern Sudan, in Juba and Wau, to boost development efforts in the region.
Egypt has engaged in the construction of a number of schools and hospitals in South Sudan and also will open Alexandria University, Juba branch.
Should we be thankful the Israels aren't building these, or worried about non-Arabs in Dafur?
And why does Egypt have 154 million LE for another country but can't properly provide services for it own people?
