Since folks here are discussing Mugabe's strong words of condemnation, it might not hurt to go through a little history course on the man as well; relevant reading: Egyptsearch link

He is horemheb/bushfan / Arrow 99/ American Hammer. They are all the same person, with the same Republican warmongering personality. I wish he would learn something on here cause once he showed me a side to him that I really liked. That disappeared quickly, however. [Frown]

Even Bat Crap has a good side and usefulness. Doesn't mean I want to stick it in my pocket.

Incorrect. Notice the passage speaks of the earth. It is actually a very simple concept to understand. The big powers struggle for even more power and domination while the meek who sit back and watch. Once the mighty collapse from their own struggle, the meek will take over.

This process can even be seen on a biological evolutionary level where dinosaurs were dominant and mammals were small meek creatures who were on the opposite end of the land animal status. Now that the dinosaurs are gone look what happened to mammals.

Of course this is wishful thinking and assumes ideally there will be an inhabitable earth left.
Cockroaches can be considered a meek, right?

^ It's more than just wishful thinking but an ongoing concept. Think about it, while major nations are involved in power struggles or ploys for political influence, there are small, even tiny societies out there that are just minding their own business. What will happen when these major nations collapse or end up killing each other or themselves?

As far as there being an earth left, that depends. Are you saying there is something that could threaten the very existence of the earth itself??

As for cockroaches, as dirty and disgusting as they are, yes they are very meek. An interesting fact is that they are highly resistant to nuclear radiation; on average about 15 times more than humans. So just incase a nuclear holocaust does wipe out not only humans but most warmblooded animals, you kind of expect roaches to take over. [Big Grin]

And you just now realized that I rarely post on this section of Egyptsearch. In all seriousness though, I browse here once in a blue moon to see if I can be entertained, and this just so happened to be a topic I wanted to get my 2c in. Gist: Don't get used to seeing me here that much. [Wink]

Its a hard, cold world we live in. You can either compete or suffer, the CHOICE is yours.

You did not earn anything, neither Europe nor the United States. The only thing you have done is take the resources, both human and material, from other continents and civilizations through colonialism and slavery in order to create your wealth, basically fuc**** up the world and jolting it into the state that it is today, including global warming. Africa was doing just fine without Europe, which in turn would not be doing anything without the cultures of Africa and southwest Asia, which you lost when your oh-so-clever, oh-so-pure, oh-socivilized Germanic tribes, your Nietzschean ubermenschen, sacked Rome, and "recovered" in the "Renaissance" through Arab culture (although it was never yours to begin with). Europeans have never begun an enduring civilization without the influence of non-European civilizations and non-European genes, and in the past 500 years have achieved their wealth and power through violence, massacre, genocide, rape, etc.

Sure not all of Europeans are responsible..,but sure its not only one man also...

Your point is what Love?? Women have been exploited for centuries, white woman included. Why are African women's plights more significant than any other women over the years who has been whored out, fucked over, abused, looked at as specimens by men, considered chattel and property. I dont understand how using this example shows the plight of africa , and how they are unable to get themselves united to become a large player in the world theatre [Confused] [Confused]
And about Sara Bartmann, she was not just one more woman, she was a Black woman, who was put on display throughout Europe because her physiognomy differed from that of the ideal European female, because she was an "other." No matter how oppressed white women may be in American society, Black women have been and still are at the bottom of the social ladder, demonized as promiscuous and oversexed because plantation owners justified their raping them by saying they were seduced, working in fields alongside men, being twice "other" because they are female and they are black. Nowadays we are demonized in the media as rude, domineering bitches or as single mothers abusing the welfare system.

Athena, Condi Rice and thousands of black woman just like her defeat your argument. There are no excuses in life. You can always improve your station in life no matter where you start. Frankly, I think your argument is nothing more than self loathing and victimization. "oh my poor life, i could have made something if the evil white males did not have their boot on my neck."

Sara Bartmann has nothing to do with you. She has gone on to whatever reward she is going to get, as have the people who abused her.

As to the meek inheriting the earth it does have to do with the next life. The theme of the Book of Matthew is heavenly and directed at the next life, not this one. Luke ,on the other hand ,deals with the poor living in time, on the earth.
The kingdom established by Jesus at the end of time will first be here on earth.
