Mubarak, the Sword of Righteousness and Pride of Islam

While President Mubarak and senior statesmen were performing the Bairam prayers in a mosque called 'Mubarak' in an army camp in Ismailia, the imam of Amr Bin Al-Aas Mosque in Cairo Ismail el-Diftar was praying for God to make the President the Sword of Righteousness and Pride of Islam.
Central security soldiers in civilian clothes were surrounding Al-Aas Mosque, which made the more than half a million worshipers get suspicious and leave.
Worshipers at Mustafa Mahmoud mosque warmly applauded Sheikh Shawki Abdel Latif, director of the religious sector at the Ministry of Endowments, for his message to the unemployed youth calling them to take the endeavor of Hagar the wife of Abraham in searching for food as an example, saying: "We import more than half our needs of wheat although we are an agricultural country."
Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar Dr. Mohamed Sayed Tantawi who led the prayers in the presence of President Mubarak focused in his speech on the prophet's farewell pilgrimage in which he reiterated that every man has the right to freedom and to defend himself and his honor within the limits of what God has sanctioned
