Obama: Warmonger by Anthony Gregory at 09:23 PM
Although I do think he's probably less of one than Hillary and McCain, and maybe less of one than Bush, here Obama is advocating war in Pakistan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIum0o-_LZk
Sure, he sounds less bad on foreign policy than McCain, now. And Bush sounded less bad on foreign policy than Gore -- before he was elected.
Ron Paul is pro-peace, pro-national defense, anti-intervention and anti-empire. None of the other major candidates have come close. Too bad the best debate the establishment wants us to get to see in November, 2008, will be one between escalated neocon aggression and old-school, someone less belligerent Rockefeller imperialism. And that is only if Mr. Change actually defeats the witch.

Anyone who thinks that Barak Obama would change American foreign policy is hopelessly niave. The United States has interests that exist no matter who is in office. Keep in mind that almost all of our wars have been fought under Democrats. As I pointed out after the '06 congressional elections you have to look at what they do, not what they say. Campaign speeches almost never an indication of what is really going to happen. The fact that Strangeways cannot resist calling a political opponet a "witch" shows the depressed level of her education and civility.

Obama said in a speech five months before Sept 11 that he is not opposed to war, but rather opposed to a "dumb war, a rash war"...which is how he characterized the notion of invading Iraq. He is the ONLY candidate to have the balls to oppose the war and for all the right reasons: he said then that we would get sucked into a war with undeterminded casualties, cost and it would fan the flame of extremism and bring out the worst in the Arab world.
He was absolutely right. Obama is the one with the vision to know where we should have focused after Sept. 11 - Afghanistan and Pakistan...the nest of extremism and where Osama enjoys aid and comfort. No one can say Obama would be a weak president...he's the comgination of hard and soft power we need at this point in our history.

humanist, Obama is in the middle of a democratic primary campaign trying to get the votes of left wing loons so he can get the nomination. You will see him soften his position on Iraq during the general election to try to appeal to the middle. In the unlikely event he were to be elected you will see him change his views on Iraq just as you saw Congressional Dems back off after they won in '06.
