heres a pic of a Kalashi girl. they're totally not muslim, they have their own religion and people believe they are their religion and they themselves are descendents of Alexander. theyre in the north in pakistan. I always wanted to go see them, but its a DIFFICULT trip to make- roads suck, have to take a little plane.
interesting how they make their eyebrows meet, in england we're told not to trust someone whos eyebrows meet in the middle because they might be a warewolf!
you've got to hand it to these asian countries, they really do know how to make a woman look pretty, so much colour and delicate design in their style, i love it.

lol- maybe not to that extent- but they do dress in a very eclectic way. the women wear their hair in alot of braids, and they wear sea shells in their hair and as necklaces. i think this girl is dressed up for a religious ceremony.
it IS interesting about the eyebrows isnt it? I know that joined eyebrows were considered very beautiful in many parts of the world, persia, turkey and other places.
You know in pakistan they say if a woman has joined eyebrows, it means shes going to be very lucky in life
but they say alot of funny things- if your henna comes out dark- your mother in law will love you alot. if a womens toe next to her big toe is longer than her big toe- she will control her husband. etc etc!

Yeah, someone here wants to look like her!
I saw on Dubai TV a woman having her eyebrows tattooed at one of the finest salons in Dubai (and when I say Dubai, I mean Duhhhhhhbbbaaaiiiiiiiii) and she looked awful in the end.
And they even said that black tattooed eyebrows become blue with time.
Ya mama.
But Hibbah, some older women (and occasionally men) in Upper Egypt have all kinds of tattoos on their chins, between their eyebrows, and on their temples. Some Coptic Egyptians have tattoos of a cross on the inner side of their wrists or the back of their hands just above the thumb.
Also some illiterate countryside people get tattoos of their name and and address on their arms in case something happens to them while they are away from home.

Egyptian tattooing was someitmes related to the sensual, erotic, and emotional side of life, and all these themes are found in tattooing today.
