I think he has a good chance, but either way he's already made history. I certainly hope he wins - he's a far cry better of a candidate (IMO) than McCain.

The repubs have screwed up bigtime with all the stuff Bush has done. McCain is not seen as a true republican, he is old and short.
It's a good situation for Obama. A charismatic white version of him would be a shoe in.......being black and with some of the baggage that has emereged Rev Wright and other stuff that gets people thinking race is a problem.
It's gonna be interesting....lets see what happens when the repubs turn up the heat with the smear campaign, expect them to throw Blackness into the face of white america as much as possible......it's their best bet against him.
