The European Union must pay 5 billion dollars annually to stem the tide of illegal immigrants departing from Libya’s shores - otherwise Europe could be become an African outpost....
Libya, with Italy’s support, asks the EU to provide at least 5 billion dollars a year to stop illegal immigration, otherwise Europe could one day become part of Africa - it could become black, because millions want to come here....
“Libya is a gateway for illegal immigration and so we need to work together to combat this phenomenon,”

..........................

So let's get this straight Silvio. The US/NATO
bombing which you backed, will create an even
more chaotic Libya, where Al Qaeda operatives
gain fresh weapons, manpower and bases for
further attacks against European interests.
And then this more chaotic Libya which you helped
create, will be able to thus "work together"
with Europe to reduce this illegal immigration to
Europe? Right............ old man...

===================================================================
http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig11/scott-pd9.1.1.html

The initially stated aim of this bombing was to diminish Libyan civilian casualties.

And the initial stated aim was an outright lie. How
does prociding free flying artillery, tons of supplies
and access to captured regime arms and munitions
"diminish" civilian casulaties? Does anyone besides the
gullible "faithful" really believe anything the glib Obama says?
--------------------------------------------------

"Americans, Britons and the French are finding themselves as comrades in arms with the rebel Islamic Fighting Group, the most radical element in the Al Qaeda network [to bring down Gaddhafi]. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted the risks of the unholy alliance in a congressional hearing, saying that the Libyan opposition is probably more anti-American than Muammar Gaddhafi. A decade ago, this very same delusion of a Western-Islamist partnership in Kosovo, Bosnia and Chechnya ended abruptly in the 9/11 attacks."12

This is what Mommar has been saying all along.
The naive Obama claims to be fighting Al Qaeda
terorists, yet here he is giving said terrorists
unfeeter access to fresh supplies of arms, munitions
and manpower, not to mention a substantial base from
which to launch other attacks against Western interests
in the Mideast.
---------------------------------------------------------

Robert Fisk, "Libya in turmoil: America's secret plan to arm Libya's rebels; Obama asks Saudis to airlift weapons into Benghazi," Independent, March 7, 2011:

"Desperate to avoid US military involvement in Libya in the event of a prolonged struggle between the Gaddafi regime and its opponents, the Americans have asked Saudi Arabia if it can supply weapons to the rebels in Benghazi.

This is sheer disinformation. The US is ALREADY
supplying the rebels with plenty of arms. World markets
are awash in cheap Soviet and Chinese small arms, easy
for the CIA to procure. Then there are captured and looted
regime arms, including missiles that Al Qaeda is getting
and storing for future operations. This revelation from the
president of Chad himself. See below. Saudi Arabia does not
have to "airlift" in any arms. This story smacks of a typical
piece of disinformation- to create the impression of Arab
"solidarity" with the US.

..................................................
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/libya/8407047/
His revelations came even as Idriss Deby Itno, Chad's president, said al-Qaeda had managed to pillage military arsenals in the Libyan rebel zone and acquired arms, "including surface-to-air missiles, which were then smuggled into their sanctuaries".
.................................................

And the blurb about "desperate to avoid US military
involvement" is transparent crap.
If the US was "desperate
to avoid" war why is its navy and airforce providing heavy,
free flying artillery for the rebels? And why are US Special
Forces groups on the ground providing air targeting coordination?
Why are logistics assets procing supplies to the rebels?
And we are told that the US is "desperate to avoid"?
Who believes this BS?
------------------------------------------------------

An additional howler- Saudis provide arms for an action
they themselves gave the green light for but the US has to pay?

"But the Saudis remain the only US Arab ally strategically placed and capable of furnishing weapons to the guerrillas of Libya. Their assistance would allow Washington to disclaim any military involvement in the supply chain – even though the arms would be American and paid for by the Saudis."

bwa ha ahhahahahah ahaha haha hahh ..
Exactly how does the US "disclaim" any military
"involvement" in the supply chain? Dumb asses. If you are
paying for the arms you are already "involved" in the
supply chain. If you are providing logistical support
to help bring the weapons to Benghazi or wherever you
are already "involved" in the supply chain. Even as
disinformationists the Obama admin is incompetent.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

An American Awacs aircraft, tail number LX-N90442 could be heard contacting the Malta control tower on Saturday for information about a Libyan Dassault-Falcon 900 jet 5A-DCN on its way from Amman to Mitiga, Gaddafi's own VIP airport.

lmao.. an AWACS does not need "information" from Malta's
control tower. It can monitor any ar traffic in its zone
in detail. This is just more flim-flam to create a bogus
impression of NATO "restraint."
-------------------------------------------------------------

Egypt Said to Arm Libya Rebels," Wall Street Journal, March 17, 2011:

"CAIRO-Egypt's military has begun shipping arms over the border to Libyan rebels with Washington's knowledge, U.S. and Libyan rebel officials said.

The shipments-mostly small arms such as assault rifles and ammunition-appear to be the first confirmed case of an outside government arming the rebel fighters.

lol.. More disinformation.. a few cases of assault rifles and ammo?
This is anything? assuming it even happened? See the bogus
Saudi "airlift" above. In fact the US is already itself arming
the rebels, not to mention proving massive air support, and
Special forces on the ground.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yoichi Shimatsu, "Mideast Revolutions and 9-11 Intrigues Created in Qatar," New America Media, March 1, 2011

"It may puzzle and perhaps dismay young protesters in Benghazi, Cairo and Tunisia that their democratic hopes are being manipulated by an ultra-conservative Arab elite which has underhandedly backed a surge of militant Islamist radicals across North Africa. Credible U.S. intelligence reports have cited evidence pointing to Qatar's long-running support for the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qaeda and jihadist fighters returning from Afghanistan.

Bwa ha aha ahahah.. If so, Obama then is being played.
His naive "humanitarian" mission serves certain Arab gamers
in 2 ways: (a) it gets rid of a long time thorn
in their sides- Moammar, (b) demonstrates to the US that
it is weak in dealing with fractious Mideast politics and
that its 'democracy crusade' is fraught with danger when a lIbyan
civil war intensifies even after Moammar, and (c) it expands
Islamic jihadism across a broader area of North Africa, just
as Pakistan's Intelligence Services helped expand
the Taliban while the "official" Pakistan government
kept issusing "official" denials of any support for
the Taliban. Obama is being played...

http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig11/scott-pd9.1.1.html
-------------------------------- [/b]

Even Hilary
Clinton now admits that Moammar was right all
along when he said Al Qaeda operatives were
working among the rebels. See:

"Americans, Britons and the French are finding themselves as comrades in arms with the rebel Islamic Fighting Group, the most radical element in the Al Qaeda network [to bring down Gaddhafi]. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted the risks of the unholy alliance in a congressional hearing, saying that the Libyan opposition is probably more anti-American than Muammar Gaddhafi. A decade ago, this very same delusion of a Western-Islamist partnership in Kosovo, Bosnia and Chechnya ended abruptly in the 9/11 attacks."12
http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig11/scott-pd9.1.1.html

^^This is what Moammar has been saying all along.
The naive Obama claims to be fighting Al Qaeda
terrorists, yet here he is giving said terrorists
new resources to conduct future attacks against
Americans.

-----------------------------
More laughable Western pronouncements in this news report:

http://www.smh.com.au/world/gaddafi-forces-halt-libyan-rebel-advance-20110329-1cdoz.html
All of the rebels who spoke to Agence France-Presse expressed confidence that coalition warplanes would reopen the road to Sirte for them, but none had heard of NATO's decision to strike only when civilians were threatened by Gaddafi's army.

Later in the day, the advance continued cautiously as the rebels searched houses along the road and appeared to encounter diminishing resistance from Gaddafi loyalists.

An AFP reporter said nine powerful explosions rocked Sirte early on Monday, as warplanes flew overhead and the coalition operation to enforce a no-fly zone in Libya entered its ninth day.

^^ lol... the rebels are right. They "never heard"
of the fictional US/NATO "mission" to "protect"
civilians under attack. Why should they when the
fictional "protection" force is providing free
flying artillery for them? Presumably the bombing
is still concerned with the equally fictional
"no fly" zone.

I would not be surprised if Moammar throws in
the towel though. Many people do not rate modern
era Arab troops highly. Some on the web argue that the
toughest fighters are likely to be the black troops.
Black troops have a long reputation for
hard-nosed fighting. During the German Blitz of
WWII in France, some of the toughest fighting
was by blacks fighting for France, who in some
areas bore the brunt of the Panzer assault.
According to one German report:

"..the French fought tenaciously; the blacks
especially used every resource to the bitter end,
defended every house. To break them we had to
use flame throwers, and, to overcome the last
Senegalese we had to kill them one by one."

-- R. Edgerton, 2002, Africa's Armies

Contrast the hard-nosed black troops with modern
era Arab troops. One historian of the 1991 Gulf War
notes that Saddam's forces did folded without much of
a fight despite being well equipped, and explicitly
compares them to the African fighters of old, who,
armed mostly with spears, posted several credible
victories against imperialist troops armed with
modern rifles, artillery, rockets and machine guns.

"One side, the Coalition, did virtually all of
the fighting; the other, Iraq, did almost all of
the dying and surrendering. The Dervishes at
Omdurman, the Zulus at Rorke's Drift .. all put
up a better fight than did the "world's fourth
largest army."
