A possible reversal of Albinism in Europeans. A possible cure for the European OCA mutation.

About 20 years ago, a number of young black males were murdered in Atlanta, GA. These murders were very unusual in that each of the approx. 20 victims, all under 15 years of age were found to have been subjected to medical procedures where their spinal fluid had been extracted, as well as semen extracted using hypodermics. Certainly not the M.O. of your usual serial murderer.

In the end, these murders were pinned on a sap named, Wayne Williams, although the authorities only officially accused Mr. Williams of dumping one of the bodies into the river. Because of this one thread of suspicion all of these highly suspicious murders were pinned on Wayne Williams.
At the time, very few blacks understood the significance of melanin, and how it's absence in whites adversely affected albinos (whites).

Now, the real question is, who would want or need to acquire melanin rich spinal fluids from young black males?

Keywords:

* pigmentation;
* mouse model;
* albino;
* tyrosinase;
* pheomelanin;
* eumelanin;
* stem cell factor;
* UV sensitivity

Reagents

Recombinant murine stem cell factor (SCF) was purchased from Chemicon Millipore (Billerica, MA, USA). l-DOPA (3-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)-l-alanine) was purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO, USA).

Summary

The K14-SCF transgenic murine model of variant pigmentation is based on epidermal expression of stem cell factor (SCF) on the C57BL/6J background. In this system, constitutive expression of SCF by epidermal keratinocytes results in retention of melanocytes in the interfollicular basal layer and pigmentation of the epidermis itself. Here, we extend this animal model by developing a compound mutant transgenic amelanotic animal defective at both the melanocortin 1 receptor (Mc1r) and tyrosinase (Tyr) loci. In the presence of K14-Scf, tyrosinase-mutant animals (previously thought incapable of synthesizing melanin) exhibited progressive robust epidermal pigmentation with age in the ears and tails. Furthermore, K14-SCF Tyrc2j/c2j animals demonstrated tyrosinase expression and enzymatic activity, suggesting that the c2j Tyr defect can be rescued in part by SCF in the ears and tail. Lastly, UV sensitivity of K14-Scf congenic animals depended mainly on the amount of eumelanin present in the skin. These findings suggest that c-kit signaling can overcome the c2j Tyr mutation in the ears and tails of aging animals and that UV resistance depends on accumulation of epidermal eumelanin.

^It's Sick, but I can't say that I'm surprised.
Just one more thing that we have to worry about from them.

The Atlanta murders had nothing to with the study they could just as easily raid a morgue for black bodies on any given weekend for that era was hight of the crack wars.

Do you have the autopsy report at hand or are you working from memory?
